Welcome to the world

This is a photo of my precious new niece in Iceland. My sister Gudny gave birth on Monday night. She's a little bit early and a little bit small but she's healthy and is getting stronger everyday. She's in a crib to help her out a bit in her first few days and with any luck she'll be out of hospital shortly.

In Iceland, babies are not named immediately, often they are not named until they are Christened, so at the moment she is called Ástrík - which literally means Rich in Love - and of course she is!!

I am heading over there for Christmas and can't wait to meet her!!!
