I love the people on the busses that seem to think that if they let go of a pole they are going to be thrown forward with such force that they will go completely through the front window.

They really make me laugh.

Now I understand that when the busses are moving it is a little difficult to keep your footing (particularly when you have a driver who thinks he's driving a V8 around a race track) but when the bus is at a complete standstill and they are moving to get off, why do they need to have hold of something for their entire exit.

This isn't just OAP's mind you, it is a very common habit. They will stand, grasp the chair in front of them, reach for the closest pole, move towards the door, if the next pole is too far, they will grasp another chair, god help them getting down the stairs from the top deck (clearly it requires the concentration of a tight-rope walker) then grab every chair and pole between the stairs and the door.

Why? THE BUS IS NOT MOVING!!! IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!

It makes me wonder, you don't see them walking along the pavement clutching light poles or shop windows. Why do they think they are so at risk on a bus....
